Being a real scientist is one of the most exciting, fast pace jobs that I could ever imagine doing. There are new results being published every day, many of which spur entirely new concepts and ideas into the world of research. I love the mental challenges that come with my job – problem solving, time keeping and perserverance are required every day! Plus, when you have a passion for something, it makes your job feel less like hard work and a lot more like fun!

It is very imporant to have engaging researchers and teachers across all areas of the sciences. Everyone is interested in different things, especially when it comes to science. And if we have lots of different people focussing on one area each, we are much more likely to make significant advances…rather than everyone knowing little bits about everything. People become experts in their field for exactly this reason!
