I never really thought about it… However, it was pretty clear that I was likely to do science or maths at university. Getting to university, I found that I enjoyed chemistry and maths even more than I did at school and the progression to becoming a scientist was probably on the cards at that point.

As a kid I wanted to be lots of things! I wanted to be a pilot once, then I wanted to be a marine biologist. And that was just up to when I was 12 years old.

Actually I dreamed to be a painter when I was young. I got several years’ training about painting and quitted it just because of the heavy studing task during my senior high. I guess I once dreamed to be a fantastic scientist, but not always.

It’s going to sound cheesy – but honestly as long as I can remember I always wanted to be some sort of mad scientist. In high school I was sold on the idea of being an Oceanographer or Marine Biologist, but was persuaded it would be better to do a pure science degree at University, so I went to study chemistry.

Not always. Up until I was 14 I wanted to become an accountant or a lawyer. I’m glad I changed my mind though!
