I took all three sciences for Standard Grade (now Nat5) and Higher. Instead of SYS (now Advanced higher) I did A-levels, so I did Chemistry and Biology, as there was not enough time to do Physics too.
Do you have an idea about what you’d like to do after school @Finlay? Looking at the UCAS website and University websites for different courses will give you a guide as to which sciences are preferred for any sort of science degree – and you can use that as a way to help guide your choice.
I took chemistry, physics and maths at Higher, and started out at the end of my fifth year doing the chemistry, physics and maths sixth year studies (the antecedent of the Advanced Highers) but left school to go to university over the summer between fifth and sixth year. As Neil says you should check to see the requirement for any degree programme that you are interested in on the relevant university website or the UCAS website.
