I’m a great fan of science fiction… Star Trek included… and it would be nice to think that sometime, in the future (hopefully not too far in the future) we might make the first steps in expanding outward by building places to live and work on the moon, then Mars and then outwards. Being stuck on a single planet is a risky business… look what happened to the dinosaurs 63 million year ago!
It’s definitely a cool thought but not a mission which I’m sure would be practical! We’d have to have some very fast space ships, efficient ways to refuel and dedicated astrounauts
From my point of view, it will. Look at how tremendous progress human beings have made in the last 100 years. In 1903 Wright Brothers made the first flight in human history and one century later Elon Musk sent his red Tesla sports car towards remote Mars! Masterpiece, isn’t it? I am always amazed by the marvellous intellgence of us human.
I can’t even contemplate what the whole of space would be…as close to infinite as I can imagine. Also, since the Universe is expanding (and expanding increasingly rapidly) the goal posts are always changing…tough challenge!
I really hope that we can, I’d love to be able to go up to space, even if it was just into orbit. Maybe in our lifetime we will have people land on Mars.
